Inside The Fashion Closet: Spice Up The Old & Don’t Spend All Your Money On The New

006

(actual picture of my closet, lol. Like the cute colorful letter stickers I used?)

This was sort of a random idea for a post but I totally felt the need to share. Anyways, I was inspired to write this post because of the many people that I see shoppingg all the time. After a while, I started to think to myself, “There’s got to be an easier and cheaper way to look fabulous!” Me being the aspiring fashion stylist that I am, I feel the need to find better ways of helping people feel great, look great and spend less. Somehow, I know that I am right! I hear of so many people that hirewardrobe stylists and pay them a lot of money to update their wardrobe so they can stay in season with all the hottest trends. And once again, I say, there has to be a cheaper and easier way.

I say save yourself the stress and the money. Now don’t get me wrong, there is absoloutely nothing wrong with getting some new items for your wardrobe, key pieces perhaps but that is pretty much it. Trying to keep up every season with trends can be very expensive. Keep in mind that eventually those things will go out of style. So be smart when you do your shopping. Keep yourself from buying things that you don’t need. Go through your closet and mix some of your old items with your new and trendy items to give your old clothes a newer look. Trust me, I think you will be amazed when you try it and see the outcome. It’s a great way to spend less money/save money and have a fresh look.

For those old clothes that don’t fit you anymore or if you have clothes that are two years or older, you should get rid of them.

*IDEA: DO NOT THROW THOSE OLD CLOTHES AWAY! Take them to a shop, for example: Plato’s Closet, and exchange them for money $$. Use that money to go toward your new items if you decide to go shopping!

**The cute customizable stickers I used on my closet are super cute and a great  way to add your own look to it. I bought these stickers from the dollar store. The letters come in all colors and prints (pink leopard print, zebra, ect) Plus, they do not take the paint off the wall! Easy to remove and replace!**

Time for you to go through your closet!

Stay Fashionable,

Ashley
