This has to be one of my favorite outfits that I have came up with. It required no thought what so ever! I just pulled it all out my fashion closet and put them on! The pictures turned out great and this is an awesome summer outfit! Hope you like!

Item Of The Week: (New) Urban Decay Naked Palette

urbandecay

If you haven’t heard, then now you have. This is the new Urban Decay Naked Eye shadow Palette. It comes with twelve beautiful colors in which five of them are brand new. Also it is great that the palette is mixed and has glitter, shimmer and matte!

The best part has to be that it comes with even more! Included is a double ended 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil featuring the colors Zero (black) and Whiskey (deep brown). Also includes a cute travel size Eye shadow Primer Potion (a mini UDPP).

This palette can give you a neutral but also a smoky look if you want as well and they are office friendly colors (colors that are cute and appropriate to wear to work).

You can get your own Urban Decay Naked Eye Shadow Palette from www.urbandecay.com for $44.00

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." -Marilyn Monroe

In Full Bloom

020022 024 021 019

(flower print romper by Forever 21, brown woven belt is my own, ring by Forever 21, watch by Avon, bracelets and sandals by NY & Company, red lipstick by NYC Color called 404B Air Kiss)

You can see in the first picture that the straps have a bow in the back. It doesn’t come like that. When I ordered my romper and tried it on the straps were very long like it was made for tall people and it does not adjust. So I cut it and tied it into a bow on both sides. Plus it kind of adds something extra to it! :0)

Love it, Love it, Love it!

Rachel Zoe Back Again!

This has to be the happiest day ever for me right now. Me being an aspiring fashion stylist, Rachel is one my favorite stylist ever! To know that there will be a season 3 of The Rachel Zoe Project just makes me want to faint. Since the last season I have been dying to see how things around the office would be. Pretty awkward I guess because little miss brit brat Taylor Jacobson won’t be there due to leaving last November. There was talk of Jacobson being fired because she had stolen clothes for Rachel’s fashion closet, which was confirmed to be very true.

I wonder if Rachel is going to hire a second assistant this season? It would be super exciting! Anyways, be sure to tune in for season 3 of The Rachel Zoe Project airing on Bravo August 3rd!

(watch the trailer below for season 3!)

Inside The Fashion Closet: Spice Up The Old & Don’t Spend All Your Money On The New

006

(actual picture of my closet, lol. Like the cute colorful letter stickers I used?)

This was sort of a random idea for a post but I totally felt the need to share. Anyways, I was inspired to write this post because of the many people that I see shoppingg all the time. After a while, I started to think to myself, “There’s got to be an easier and cheaper way to look fabulous!” Me being the aspiring fashion stylist that I am, I feel the need to find better ways of helping people feel great, look great and spend less. Somehow, I know that I am right! I hear of so many people that hirewardrobe stylists and pay them a lot of money to update their wardrobe so they can stay in season with all the hottest trends. And once again, I say, there has to be a cheaper and easier way.

I say save yourself the stress and the money. Now don’t get me wrong, there is absoloutely nothing wrong with getting some new items for your wardrobe, key pieces perhaps but that is pretty much it. Trying to keep up every season with trends can be very expensive. Keep in mind that eventually those things will go out of style. So be smart when you do your shopping. Keep yourself from buying things that you don’t need. Go through your closet and mix some of your old items with your new and trendy items to give your old clothes a newer look. Trust me, I think you will be amazed when you try it and see the outcome. It’s a great way to spend less money/save money and have a fresh look.

For those old clothes that don’t fit you anymore or if you have clothes that are two years or older, you should get rid of them.

*IDEA: DO NOT THROW THOSE OLD CLOTHES AWAY! Take them to a shop, for example: Plato’s Closet, and exchange them for money $$. Use that money to go toward your new items if you decide to go shopping!

**The cute customizable stickers I used on my closet are super cute and a great  way to add your own look to it. I bought these stickers from the dollar store. The letters come in all colors and prints (pink leopard print, zebra, ect) Plus, they do not take the paint off the wall! Easy to remove and replace!**

Time for you to go through your closet!

Congrats To Michael Kors

Even if I am a little late, I just recently heard about Michael Kors recieving two lifetime awards. And I must say that that is one great accompishment! He is such a great designer and I love his clothes. Even if I may not be able to afford it, I still enjoy seeing his work. I think he definitely deserves it and I am glad that it went to him. Not too many designers have been around as long as he has. Now at the age of 50, Kors has been creating masterpieces for about 25 years now and hopes to continue. I hope he continues because his work keeps us all guessing and we all like that right?? Congrats to Mr. Kors!

Mac, The Cosmetics Company Store & Sephora Haul

If you have read my last post then you have heard me mention some of the new products that I got and are trying out. Yesterday I finally did the videos for the haul (there’s a prt1 & prt2), and they are finally up on YouTube so go and check it out!

Next, I also told you all that I finally got the Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette and I am in love! I have my new set of brushes that I just bought (the Ecotools earth friendly brushes which are super soft by the way) and I have just been planted in front of my mirror ever since. Now it’s like all I do is try on makeup, mix different colors, take it off, then do it again! I have even went into the stage of trying different kinds of eye shadow primers! Oh my goodness! I can once again honestly say that my so called slight love for makeup has gone completely out of control. My mother is getting just as bad as I am, we are like partners in crime. If she comes across some new primer or palette she always tells me then that means that I have to try it too! Same goes for me, if I come across something then I would share it with her.

Oh, and i must say that we have been trying out quite a few primers lately. From Nars to UDPP (urban Decay Primer Potion) to Smashbox, L’oreal and Lorac. Have any of you tried these? Well so far my my mother says that the Lorac eyeshadow primer is her favorite. She says it goes on super smooth!

But anyways, just thought I would let yall know what I have been up to! Visit the youtube page www.youtube.com/Ashleystylz and don’t forget to rate and leave your comments!

Makeup Addict??? I think Not..

I am now able to say I was truly in denial about my fast growing addiction with makeup. After doing the many videos that I have recorded and posted on youtube, I cannot help but to watch and be influenced by some of the videos that I see. There are so many talented people that inspire me to simply try something new.

My most recent purchases:
  • Ecotools Earth friendly beauty set- Bamboo 6 piece brush set

  • MAC Softsparkle Eye Pencil in "nightsky"

  • Coastal Scents 28 Piece Eye Shadow Neutral Palettet

  • Mac Powder Blush in "Raizin" (matte)

  • L.A. Colors Palette in "EP24 Unforgettable"

  • NYX Lipgloss in "Beige"

  • N.Y.C. Color Brow & Liner Pencil in "Jet Black"

  • L'OREAL Paris De-Crease Eyeshadow Base/Primer

  • MAC Nail Polish in "Asiatique" (red)

  • MAC Nail Polish in "Violet Fire" (purple)

  • Wet n Wild Mega Wink Lash Curling Mascara Align Center
Sadly enough, it's like every week my mother and I are getting new products. This is slowly turning into an addiction and it is super hard to fight it!

Have you bought any new makeup products lately?

Every Lady Needs a Makeup "Yuck Box!"

Earlier today, I finished recording my latest youtube video called, "Every Lady Needs a Makeup 'Yuck Box!" I am sure you all are wondering, "what in the world is a "Yuck Box?"

Well, as explained in the video, the Yuck Box is for any of your products that you have bought and may not like or use anymore. So those items would be placed into your yuck box.

For example, what if you went to a beauty/makeup store and picked out what seemed to be a great color lipstick for you but when you got home and tried it on it looked horrible...

In this case, Do Not Throw It Away!! Place it into your yuck box and if a family member or friend comes over and they like it, you can give it to them!
Your Yuck Box can be used for makeup, accessories, lotions, whatever you do not want or like that will fit into your box or bag (if you prefer to use). Just don't throw your products away because someone else may want them and could use them.
Do you have a box or bag where you can store products you no longer want or use??
Here is my video for this post ;0) Enjoy!

Ashley

Outfit of the Day #6 & F21/PacSun Haul

NEW VIDEO!!

Taking Over the Big Screen

I had to keep myself from laughing when I received my new June/July issue of Teen Vogue with the beautiful Amanda Seyfried gracing the cover.

While trying to hold a straight face, all that I could think about was Amanda's character in Mean Girls that she played. Portraying a somewhat brainless girl that had this strange talent of using her boobs to tell the weather! I'm sorry, but that was all that I could think about.

(photo from behind the scenes of the cover shoot)

However, I can say that I was shocked but happy to see her on the cover of Teen Vogue for the second time! This bombshell is featured in two recent movies titled, Dear John and Letters to Juliet. I haven't seen either movie yet but after writing this post, I feel like I need to.

Here is a video of a Q&A session w/ Amanda Seyfried and Christopher Egan

Have you read the new issue of Teen Vogue yet?

Don't Miss out! ;0)

Ashley

Summa-Summa-Summertime!!

It is absolutely beautiful outside on this Sunday afternoon and an amazing 88 degrees with a slight but comfortable breeze.

My mother and I were up and running by 2pm and headed to the store to grab some goodies for the family cookout at my house today.

Not long after, I grabbed my mother and yet again forced her to be my wonderful photographer. So all photo credits go to her =). We ran to CVS to grad some bubbles for my brother and sister to play with. Then I went to Subway to grab a delicious sandwich for lunch.
